GROUND BREAKING IS HERE
|
|
Thursday, May 29, 2008
- The committee would like to thank everyone for their help with today's ground breaking. It was nice to see a good turn out from both the fire service and the ems service. We also would like to thank the guys from 44 for all their help with the behind the scene work, getting the food setting up the tower for pictures and handling the lunch afterwards.
We now have lift off and this will be a great tribute to our fallen brothers and sisters when complete.

REACHING OUT
|
|
Tuesday, May 27, 2008
- The Research Committee of the Delaware County Fallen Fire & EMS Committee mailed letters out to each of the Fire & EMS Companies in Delaware County, including Paramedics and Fire Brigades, even those that are now listed as out of service.
The letter asked for the Chief Officer of the company to either confirm that the company had no line of duty death, or provide the name(s) and date(s) of those members that were lost in the line of duty. After the first mailing about a month ago, we are at about 27% retuned with another 5% that we know are out of service or disbanded.
We are now asking for the help of those readers of the DFRN site to check the list of company numbers below and if you are a member or know members of any of the following stations, please remind them to find their letters and mail them back. Even those stations without a LODD are asked to complete the 2nd page and return it so that we know we have checked with everyone before the memorial is dedicated. WE WANT NO ONE LEFT OUT, AND TO HONOR ALL THOSE WHO DESERVE IT.
Contact Richard J. Heffernan Jr at heff37@icdc.com
Thank You for helping us make the memorial complete.
