Thank you!On behalf of the Delaware County Fallen Firefighter & EMS Memorial Committee, we want to thank each of the members of the Emergency Services and those who are not, who attended either the Viewing or Funeral Services for Deputy Fire Chief 20-9a & Delaware County Fire/EMS Dispatcher #36 on Wednesday June 29th or Thursday June 30th 2016 to show the Morgan Family and the Members of the Garrettford Drexel Hill Fire Company that they are not alone in Mike Morgan 's passing.
A heartfelt Thank You also goes out to each of the organizations involved in the preparation, hard work and resources that you mustered together so that the Morgan Family and the members of the Garrettford Drexel Hill Fire Company could honor and pay tribute to their beloved son, brother, uncle, family member, Deputy Chief and friend!
It has been said a thousand times already, Mike was that good guy you wanted to be with, he made everyone laugh, when you spent any time at all with him at work, time just flew by. You either wanted Mike on the Radio as a Dispatcher or at the incident with you and when he was, there was nothing you needed, he was always one step ahead. There is a void left in each of us, I cannot imagine what it is like inside Station 20 or in the Radio Room now a days….
The time that each of you devoted to this detail in the past weeks cannot be repaid, but know that it is greatly appreciated!
Our delay in this thank you was so that we could make sure that the Morgan Family and GDH Family could morn their loss and so we could prepare to assist them with the filing of the Line of Duty paperwork.
We have received so many heartfelt messages about what they witnessed last Wednesday and Thursday and how fitting they were for Michael. Personally, I wish I could hug each of you or be able to repay each of you for your services and connections. I can only hope that we don’t need to provide such a service for a fallen member again.
The following links are of photos and videos taken by a select handful of Photographers and Video Specialist of the services as a remembrance of the day and Mike's final farewell.
