The Springfield Fire Company, on behalf of the Philadelphia Fire Department, would like to provide the following information to all Delaware County Fire and EMS Personnel.
Thursday's Viewing will take place on January 11th 2018, starting at the Cathedral Basilica at 16:30 hrs.  The Philadelphia Fire & Police Departments request that no fire apparatus be brought into the city for the viewing on Thursday to maximize for parking in the area of the Cathedral.  The only exception would be Springfield Township Fire & EMS apparatus and Buses.
Members of Delco's Fire & EMS agencies are welcome to utilize the prearranged transport van system for a ride from the rear parking lot of Cardinal O'Hara High School, 1701 S. Sproul Rd Springfield, PA 19064 to the viewing at the Cathedral.  Those interested taking a transport van will park in the secured designated area at O'Hara and return back when finished.  Light refreshments will be available outside the school.
 
Funeral Service, Friday January 12th 2018
Philadelphia Fire Department's Procession from Engine 43 will start at 08:15hrs and proceed on foot to the Cathedral by 08:30hrs.  The Philadelphia Fire & Police Departments request that no fire apparatus be brought into the city for the viewing on Friday to maximize for parking in the area of the Cathedral.  The only exception would be Springfield Township Fire & EMS apparatus and buses.
There will be a short period for a morning viewing from 09:00hrs to 10:30hrs at the Cathedral.  
Services will start promptly at 10:45hrs.
 
 
 
Delaware County has been requested by the Philadelphia Fire Department to provide apparatus and manpower at the Cemetery for the Lt. LeTourneau's return to Delaware County.
The following arraignments have been set up for the members of Delaware County's Fire & EMS agencies:
Manpower and Apparatus are requested to arrive at the Cardinal O'Hara High School, 1701 S. Sproul Rd Springfield, PA 19064 using the school bus lanes in the rear parking lot at 10:00hrs.  
School staff will direct members into the rear entrance of the school auditorium.  Arrangements have been made to view the funeral mass live from the Cathedral via cctv.  School Ministry will be present for those wishing to receive communion.  Light refreshments will be available on site.  (A reminder from Fr. Mason, anyone wishing to receive communion, please refrain from eating 1 hour before mass)
At the conclusion of mass, members and apparatus will be directed out of O'Hara and over to the Saints Peter and Paul Cemetry to line up in the designated area prior to the arrival of the funeral procession coming from the city.
The Philadelphia Fire and Police Departments have every aspect of the Viewing, Service and Internment planned out and we are making every attempt to honor their requests.
