Thank You!

Monday, September 14, 2015  Thank You! Thank You! Thank You! It has taken several days to recuperate, but all for a Great Cause! First we want to thank all of those dedicated golfers who braved the weather and played through at our first annual Delaware County Fallen Firefighter & EMS Memorial Golf Outing at the Edgmont Country Club! For the most part, the weather held off and the "heavy stuff" didn't come until the last 3 holes. We are so grateful for all of your support and the generosity of each of our sponsors. We are overwhelmed from the support of so many fire companies, businesses and friends that gave to help the Delaware County Fallen Firefighter & EMS Memorial Committee and our first ever golf outing. We were sold out of Foursome's, we had an average of 5 hole sponsor's per hole, and our Gold, Platinum and Beverage Sponsors were all filled! We had excellent service and help from the staff at the Edgmont Country Club! But most of all, we would like to thank Chip Lillie, a member of the Memorial Committee, and his staff at Choice Marketing and Choice Gear Cleaning for all of the time, hard work and goodies that you were able to secure and make for us. This event would not have been so successful without the hard work and expertise of Chip Lillie and Joey Tesauro! Once again the teamwork put forth by each member of the Memorial Committee, whether there that day or in obtaining sponsors, golfers, or donations, made this event a success and benefited the Memorial so we can continue to work towards our goals and be ready to support those in need if the situation ever happens again! We would also like to thank all those that attended the annual 9/11 Memorial Service that we help facilitate every year along with the Delaware County Law Enforcement Memorial Foundation, Delaware County Council and Delco DA Jack Whelan. County Council and DA Whelan continued the annual tradition of taking the time out to reflect every September 11th about what occurred back on 9/11/2001 and also pay tribute to every Police, Fire and EMS worker that keep the citizens of Delaware County safe everyday. This year they awarded the Order of Merit to Ridley Park Police Officer Marc Hanly and officers from Norwood and Tinicum for their Heroism and Bravery during a recent incident. The attendance at this years event was well over 300 people and the audience was filled with many Police, Fire, EMT's and Paramedics as well as everyday citizens. We would like to thank each of you for taking the time out to attend, especially those companies with apparatus.

Thank you for a Great Day!
